Andres Hernandez

Principal Scientist Neomorph

Andres Hernandez is a Principal Scientist at Neomorph, where he applies biochemistry and cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) to advance targeted protein degradation and drug discovery programs. Since joining the company in 2021, he has held roles of increasing responsibility, leading structure-based approaches to therapeutic development. Prior to Neomorph, Andres helped establish and implement a full cryo-EM workflow for small molecule drug discovery at Celgene and Bristol Myers Squibb, enabling rapid structure determination to support medicinal and computational chemistry efforts. He completed postdoctoral research at Scripps Research, where he investigated proteasome function and AAA+ ATPases, while contributing to advances in cryo-EM methodologies and software development.
